DeSantis accuses Biden of targeting Florida by denying access to COVID treatment
Governor Ron DeSantis is considered a top contender to run against Biden in 2024.
Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis said the Biden administration is purposefully targeting Florida and restricting access to COVID treatments.
“Republican Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said on Sunday the Biden administration is hostile toward his efforts to get treatment for coronavirus for Floridians, which the state has been offering in conjunction with vaccines for those who want them,” Breitbart reported.
Florida, which has largely rejected authoritarian lockdowns, has long been a target of Democrats. However, Democrats frequently travel there, with Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker’s family fleeing there as he began to shut down the state.
“It’s about partisanship, and it’s not about the best interests of the American people, when you talk about how these folks are acting,” DeSantis said.
