Cristiano Ronaldo’s Coca-Cola Snub Potentially Costs Company Billions
The Daily Caller reported that international sensation Cristiano Renaldo’s recent snub of Coca-Cola at the Euro 2020 Games press conference may have cost the company billions.
The 36-year-old soccer sensation removed Coca-Cola bottles out of sight while speaking to the media at the Euro 2020 games, showing a look of disgust for the product.
The player then grabbed a water bottle and lifted it up stating, “Agua,” then muttering something about the controversial soda company.
Sky News shared video footage of the occurrence on their verified Twitter account.
Surprisingly enough, in that moment, the beverage company’s share price dropped by 1.6% to $55.22, the biased left-wing sports media outlet ESPN reported.
The Portugal captain has shown his disdain for soda in the past and his unhappiness when his children eat and drink unhealthy food/beverages. The snub did not appear to have anything to do with the company’s recent move into politics.
