CNN ratings fall — only 8% of Americans say they tune in every day
The media company is mired in scandals — Jeff Zucker is out, a federal case is proceeding against Don Lemon and Chris Cuomo left in disgrace — now their ratings are tanking.
CNN has built its viewership in the past 4 years on a steady stream of anti-Trump and anti-conservative coverage.
But post-Trump, it struggles.
“48 percent of likely US voters said that they rarely or never watch CNN, while another 23 percent said they only occasionally watch the channel,” The Post Millennial reported based on a new Rasmussen poll.. “8 percent said they watch CNN once per week, and 11 percent said they watch several times per week.”
“Distrust of the news media remains high, as 58% of voters agree with former President Donald Trump’s statement that the media are ‘truly the enemy of the people,’ a finding unchanged since last July,” Rasmussen wrote.
The network has struggled for months.
“CNN, a far-left propaganda outlet that encourages violence and spreads conspiracy theories, has seen its viewership drop -78 percent to below 500,000 viewers,” Breitbart reported in January.
CNN has also been a frequent target of former President Donald Trump.
Media companies, such as CNN, would be wise to learn from this crash in ratings and return to fact-based journalism. People would likely tune into a channel that primarily involved neutral reporting and some fair-minded commentary from both Republicans and Democrats.
