BREAKING: Ohio State Rep Introducing Bill To Rename Popular State Park After President Trump
Ohio State Representative Michael Loychik announced Saturday through a press release that he would soon be introducing legislation to rename Ohio’s Mosquito Lake State Park to Donald J. Trump State Park.
“This legislation is meant to honor the commitment and dedication that our 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, bestowed upon the great people of Trumbull County” the newly elected State Representative and Air Force Veteran said in his offices official press release.
Mosquito Lake State Park is located in Trumbull County, where Representative Michael Loychik’s district resides.

Representative Loychik continued in his statement saying he “witnessed the unprecedented and astounding support that President Trump received from constituents across the 63rd district and on Mosquito Lake State Park.”
President Trump carried Trumbull County in both 2016 and 2020 by defeating Joe Biden by over 10% and Hillary Clinton by over 6%. Donald Trump was the first Republican to win Trumbull County in two consecutive presidential elections since President Hoover.
Tweets began to surface and go viral Saturday after news broke about the announcement.
There has been a growing movement across the United States to rename state highways, holidays, bridges, and parks after former President Donald J Trump.
Renaming a popular state park after the former President would certainly draw tourism to the destination and a be a welcomed new name from the prior unenticing “Mosquito” title which has been a local topic of debate for years.
"I will soon be introducing this bill to recognize the triumphs Trump brought over the last four years to this great nation and the Buckeye state," Loychik concluded.
