Biden Judicial Nominee Claims “Proof of Citizenship” is “Voter Suppression”

Biden’s left-wing judicial appointee holds views at odds with safe and secure elections, and appears to have a history of far-left wing activism.

President Joe Biden has nominated Nancy Gbana Abudu, a radically left-wing Southern Poverty Law Center attorney to the bench.

Even worse, this nominee has previously said that election integrity laws, such as voter ID and proof of citizenship, is a form of “voter suppression.

The Daily Wire reported:

A left-wing activist with ties to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) nominated by President Joe Biden to be a federal judge has argued photo ID and proof of citizenship constitute “voter suppression.”

Nancy Gbana Abudu, the deputy legal director at SPLC, was picked by Biden in December to serve on the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit. The 11th Circuit covers parts of Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. The vacancy came about upon the retirement of Judge Beverly B. Martin — a President Barack Obama appointee.

The far-left judicial nominee made the remarks in 2011.

“I would say 95 percent of my work is in voting rights, and it runs the gamut,” she told a newspaper. “Obviously, we do a lot when it comes to voter suppression, which includes five priority areas: photo ID, proof of citizenship, restrictions we see when it comes to registration ... early voting as well as absentee voting and the restrictions we see when it comes to criminal convictions.”

The troubling background of a Biden nominee should come as no surprise. Biden has nominated several other left-wing activists such as Vanita Gupta, David Chipman, Rachel Levine, and several others.
