Biden DOJ Implements Gag Order Preventing New York Times from Discussing Attempts to Seize Communications
The administration said it will not investigate the mainstream media, but left open the door for investigating other outlets.
“The Biden administration not only supported a secret legal effort to obtain the phone and email records of four New York Times reporters, but its Justice Department imposed a gag order on the Times ‘to shield it from public view’ — a move the newspaper called ‘unprecedented’ in journalistic history,” according to the Daily Wire.
“On January 5, the Trump administration petitioned a court to obtain the reporters’ email information from Google, which provides the Times’ email services. The newly inaugurated Biden administration continued the probe and added a new twist,” the Daily Wire reported.
“While the Trump administration never informed the Times about the effort, the Biden administration continued waging the fight this year, telling a handful of top Times executives about it but imposing a gag order to shield it from public view, said the lawyer, David McCraw, who called the move unprecedented,” the New York Times said.
However, the Biden administration said they would no longer go after real journalists, the “news media.” Curiously, Biden has several people who are hostile to the freedom of right-leaning journalists and investigators, in the administration. The administration did not define the parameters of who qualifies from protection from records requests.
In addition to suing Catholic nuns, HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra also carried out a witch hunt of the highest order against pro-life journalist David Daleiden.
Daleiden had legally recorded key allies of the Biden administration, including Planned Parenthood and the National Abortion Federation, bragging about the illegal trafficking of fetal body parts.
The initial investigation into Daleiden began under then-Attorney General Kamala Harris, a key handmaid of the abortion industry. Biden and Harris campaigned and still support the legalization of abortion up until the moment of birth and paid for by taxpayers.
