Atlanta suburb wants to separate from the city due to rise in violent crime

Leftist politicians have contributed to a surge in violent crime, leaving many Buckhead residents to petition to leave the city.

The Democratic-run Atlanta is experiencing a crime problem, and one neighborhood wants to leave.

“Atlanta's wealthiest suburb is edging closer to separating itself from the city as it introduces a bill to Georgia's legislature that goes up for a vote next year,” the Daily Mail reported. 

“We are living in a war zone in Buckhead,” Bill White, a resident and political activist who is trying to separate Buckhead from Atlanta, told Bloomberg. “Shootings and killings, it just never ends.”

“A bill has been introduced to de-annex the suburb from the city and it goes up to vote in next year. It's not clear exactly when the bill will be voted on,” the Daily Mail reported.
