“42 million” Latin American Immigrants want to Permanently come to the US, Says Gallup CEO
“Roughly 42 million people south of Texas want to migrate into the United States,” Gallup’s CEO says.
President Joe Biden is facing criticism for his handling of the Southern border. He has refused to visit the border and instead has tasked his vice president, Kamala Harris, with managing the response.
Now, the CEO of a major polling company told Biden that his data shows nearly 42 million more migrants want to come to the United States. This comes as most Democrats and even some liberal Republicans are considering pushing for amnesty for illegal immigrants.
“Of those [citizens of Latin America and the Caribbean] who want to leave their country permanently, 35% — or 42 million — said they want to go to the United States,” a Gallup poll said, according to a post on the company’s website by CEO Jim Clifton.
Clifton challenged Biden, and all political leaders, to consider several questions: “How many more people are coming to the southern border? And what is the plan?” Clifton wrote.
Breitbart reporter Neil Munro raised alarms about this possibility.
The United States already has very high rates of legal and illegal migration.
For example, roughly four million young Americans turn 18 each year and begin looking for jobs, careers, spouses, homes, and families. Yet, the federal government imports roughly one million legal immigrants per year, each of whom compete for the jobs and housing sought by Americans.
Meanwhile, illegal immigrants have flooded the Southern border, lured by the promises of amnesty and a president who is weaker on immigration.
Florida Republican Congressman Matt Gaetz recently ripped into Biden for supporting unchecked illegal immigration.
“The American people should not tolerate a left-wing government that permits an invasion at our border,” Gaetz tweeted on March 24.
