Morocco Establishes Diplomatic Relations With Israel
President Trump announced on Twitter Thursday that Morocco would become the fourth Arab nation to reach a peace deal with Israel this year.
The historic agreement reportedly comes as, “part of a deal that included U.S. recognition of the Western Sahara as part of Morocco.”
“Another HISTORIC breakthrough today! Our two GREAT friends Israel and the Kingdom of Morocco have agreed to full diplomatic relations – a massive breakthrough for peace in the Middle East!” President Trump tweeted out.
President Trump announced as well that the U.S. would be recognizing Morocco’s claims to the disputed Western Sahara:
Morocco is the fourth nation to normalize relations with Israel this year. The other three include the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Sudan.
