WATCH: Israeli PM Netanyahu Dedicates Display in Honor of President Trump
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu dedicated a display in Israel’s Cabinet meeting room on Sunday in honor of President Donald J Trump and his decision to move the US Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem.
The historic plaque is displayed next to a similar one dedicated to President Harry Truman, who quickly recognized Israel upon its original declaration of independence in 1948.
Prime Minister Netanyahu’s speech is embedded below:
“President Trump, Donald, exactly three years ago, you became the first world leader to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.” the Prime Minister emphatically stated in his speech.
Netanyahu continued his praise stating, ”Thanks to you, Mr. President, we, the descendants of the Maccabees, can celebrate that that alliance between the reborn Jewish state and the most powerful country on earth, is stronger than ever.”
Israel has also named a town after President Trump, honoring his decision to recognize Israeli sovereignty in the Golan Heights.
Many conservative pundits have declared President Trump as the most pro-Israel President in US History.
