Biden Admin Considering Flying Migrants to States Near Canadian Border as Crisis Grows

The Biden Administration is reportedly considering flying migrants who illegally crossed the border to states near the US-Canadian border for processing and housing.

The consideration from the Biden Administration to move illegal migrants to the northern states comes during a time of crisis at the US-Mexico border in an effort to ease the pressure at facilities in Texas.

The surge in border crossings from unaccompanied minors and other adults is at an unprecedented level which many critics have blamed the Biden Administration for their policies that would create a path to citizenship for most illegal immigrants currently living in the United States.

Two DHS officials informed the Washington Post that the Biden Administration was considering air lifts to the northern border for migrants due to the are numbers crossing the border.

Officials told the Washington Post that on Friday morning 1,000 people who were either unaccompanied minors or in family units crossed the Rio Grande and that another 1,000 illegal migrants were awaiting processing from Thursday night.

These figures suggest an increasing crisis at the border that is mounting extreme amounts of pressure on the border patrol agents and infrastructure.

In February, there were 29,792 children detained without their parents at the border — about five times more than in January — of whom 2,942 were under the age of 12, according to reports from the US Customs and Border Protection.

The overall number of people apprehended at the border increased to an extreme 100,000+ people in February, a 28 percent jump from the previous month.

Even with these startling numbers, the Democrat leaders in Congress and the Biden Administration are still refusing to call it a crisis.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that “I think that the administration is pulling this thing under control,” while discussing the border crisis.

White House Press Secretary called the border crossings a crisis accidentally last week, and quickly walked back the assertion.

If the Biden Administration and Democrats in Congress have not yet called the crisis at the border what it is, it’s hard to expect any changes to their messaging in the future. If 100,000 illegal border crossings in the month of February is not considered a crisis to the Biden Administration, what is?
