Rob Reiner: GOP Lawmakers Planning to Challenge Electors Committing “Sedition & Treason”
Leftist Hollywood director Rob Reiner went on full attack mode accusing GOP elected officials planning to challenge electoral college results of committing “sedition and treason.”
Left-wing director Rob Reiner, a man who trafficked in the conspiracy theory that President Trump was a “Russian asset,” made the accusation that GOP elected officials planning to challenge the electoral certification were committing, “sedition and treason” in a tweet Saturday.
“Every Senator and Congressperson who votes to overturn the election will be committing an act of Sedition and Treason. Their names will be recorded for history,”
The number of elected officials planning on voting against certification continues to grow with at least 12 US Senators and 140 US Congress Members all publicly committing to vote against certification in contested states.
Reiner’s claim that GOP lawmakers will be committing “sedition and treason” has no basis in law.
Four years ago, several House Democrats objected to the electoral results of Trump’s 2016 presidential victory and Senator Boxer objected in 2004.
