New California COVID Guidelines Offer Suggestions for Shouting on Roller Coasters
With California theme parks set to re-open as early as April 2021, the California Attractions and Parks Association (CAPA) is encouraging theme parks to mitigate the effects of shouting while riding roller coasters.
Guidelines distributed for reopening in California suggested businesses mitigate the effects of activities like singing and shouting to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
While under the new proposal to reopen, businesses and parks like Disneyland and Six Flags are able to open, they are still only allowing a limited capacity at first.
Indoor dining will not be permitted at the amusement parks, groups will be limited to a maximum of 10 people from no more than 3 differing households.
All guests will be required to wear masks at all times to “mitigate the effects of shouting”
Not exactly your standard day at the amusement park that Americans have grow accustomed to.

While screaming is not banned from thrill rides in the guidelines, they do suggest parks require masks and put in place measures to limit the effects of shouting and singing.
