Mumford & Sons Lead Guitarist Tweets Support for ‘Brave’ Andy Ngo, Leftists Target Band
Winston Marshall, the lead guitarist for the popular British folk rock band Mumford and Sons is receiving criticism for praising journalist Andy Ngo.
“Mumford” was one of the top trends on Twitter Sunday morning because of the discovery that the lead guitarist of the popular band Mumford and Sons, reads books written by journalists who cover the radical ideology and plans of Antifa.
Andy Ngo, an American journalist who documents Antifa and Black Lives Matter riots across the United States primarily in Portland and Seattle recently released a number one best-selling book titled Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy.
In a tweet, guitarist Winston Marshall congratulated Ngo on the publication of his number one best-selling book, writing: “Finally had the time to read your important book. You’re a brave man.”
Radical left wing Twitter users immediately began to attack the musician for his support of Ngo’s “important book.”
One dramatic Twitter user commented that, “I may be naive, but "Banjo player from Mumford & Sons Comes Out As Nazi" was not a headline I foresaw.”
Another angry left-wing account said that, “The whole world learning that Mumford & Sons are fascist sympathizers is the best thing to happen to Nickleback in years.”
Conservative New York Times Best-Selling Author Brigitte Gabriel blasted the left for attempting to cancel another public figure, “The left is trying to cancel Mumford and Sons because one of their members tweeted in support of a book written by a Trump supporter. Tell me more about how conservatives are the fascists.”
Paul Joseph Watson mocked the left for their overreaction to the endorsement of Ngo’s book facetiously saying, “Mumford & Sons guitarist says he read a book.”
