“Mumford and Sons” Guitarist Quits Band So He Can Freely Share His Political Views

Far-left activists tried to cancel guitarist Winston Marshall after he spoke positively about a book that criticized Antifa.

“Winston Marshall, a founding member of folk-rock group Mumford & Sons, announced Thursday that is leaving the band so that he can ‘speak freely’ about political issues,” ABC News reported.

“Marshall took a break from the band in March after sparking a social media storm by tweeting admiration for ‘Unmasked,’ a book by right-wing writer-activist Andy Ngo that attacked far-left militant groups collectively known as antifa,” the news site reported.

“The only way forward for me is to leave the band. I hope in distancing myself from them I am able to speak my mind without them suffering the consequences,” the banjo player wrote on Medium.

Do you think the radical left is to blame for forcing Marshall to leave the band? Do you think he is doing the right thing? Let us know!
