Florida Rock Concert Tickets are $18 for Vaccinated, $1,000 for Non-Vaccinated
The concert promoter claims they’re trying to make sure everyone is safe, but many are criticizing the move as discriminatory.
Music fans seeking to watch punk rock bands, Teenage Bottlerocket, MakeWar, and Rutterkin in St. Petersburg Florida on June 26th will either pay just $18 (if vaccinated) or $999.99 (if unvaccinated) according to event organizers.
In order to purchase tickets at the discounted $18, concert attendees will have to show a government issued ID and CDC COVID-19 vaccine card showing they’re fully vaccinated.
The event organizer, Paul Williams, stated that they were, “just trying to do a show safely. And they should go out and get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families and their community.”
Paul Williams of Leadfoot Promotions came up with the idea in an effort to put on a “safe show.”
“We’re just trying to do a show safely. And they should go out and get vaccinated to protect themselves and their families and their community,” Williams told WFTS.
President Trump’s favorite author, Nick Adams, asked how the price differentiation based on vaccination was legal.
According to a report by the Hill, no non-vaccinated attendees have forked over the $999.99 for their ticket.
