Ellen DeGeneres ends show amid low ratings and accusations of bullying
The liberal TV host said she would never have Donald Trump on her show -- but faced numerous accusations of hostility from employees and guests.
Liberal TV host Ellen DeGeneres will no longer have a show after plummeting ratings and workplace misconduct forced the end of the show.
She has previously criticized President Donald Trump’s conduct, but has evidently struggled to live up to basic standards of decency, according to some accusations.
“Talk show queen Ellen DeGeneres is reportedly planning to end her long-running daytime show next season as she deals with plummeting ratings and continued fallout from her show’s workplace misconduct scandal,” Breitbart reported.
“Last year, The Ellen DeGeneres Show was hit by accusations of workplace misconduct, with several former employees accusing senior management of bullying behavior and sexual misconduct,” Breitbart reported.
While Breitbart said that DeGeneres herself wasn’t accused of anything, she ultimately leads the show. Furthermore, there have been several credible critical comments about the way she handles guests.
Despite her reputation of not stepping in to stop hostility and bullying, she previously criticized Trump.
“I’m not going to change his mind. He’s against everything that I stand for,” the leftist TV host said in 2017, explaining why she would never have him on the show.
