Google to Stop Donating to Republicans that Objected to 2020 Elections

Google announced on Monday that they have suspended all donations to elected officials that objected to the certification of the 2020 presidential election.

Google did not however state if they would be halting all donations to elected officials who objected to the certification of the 2016, 2012, 2008, or 2004 Presidential Elections.

Google’s spokesperson, Jose Castaneda told The Hill that, “Following that review, the NetPAC board has decided that it will not be making any contributions this cycle to any member of Congress who voted against the certification of the election results.”

Facebook stated it would suspend their donations to candidates for the first quarter of 2021.

Other big tech companies like Amazon, AT&T, and Comcast have threatened to stop donations to GOP officials that raised concerns about potential election fraud during the 2020 elections.
