REPORT: Senator Joe Manchin may leave Democrat Party
Hard-left policy advisors in the Biden White House are likely upset Manchin didn’t embrace another massive left-wing spending bill. Now Manchin is reportedly considering becoming an Independent.
Centrist West Virginia Democrat Joe Manchin may leave the Democratic Party as it becomes increasingly radical, embracing the Green New Deal, eliminating limits on abortion, and the woke PC agenda.
There have long been rumors that the moderate Democrat would become a Republican, too. It appears that won’t be the case.
“I’m not from where they’re [Democrats] from, and they can just beat the living crap out of people and think they’ll be submissive, period,” Manchin said recently.
He announced Sunday he would vote “no” on the Build Back Better Bill. It included over $500 billion to move the country away from oil, gas and coal. It represents the reality that the Party has given up any sort of reason and instead will let Bernie Sanders and AOC write the agenda.
While it might be overly optimistic to hope Manchin becomes a Republican, he seems open to the idea of becoming an Independent.
