House Votes To Impeach President Trump, 10 Republicans Vote In Favor Of Impeachment

The House of Representatives voted on Wednesday to impeach President Trump by a vote of 232-197. Ten Republicans voted in favor of impeachment including Republican House leader Liz Cheney.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell rejected Democrat’s request to bring the impeachment trial immediately to the Senate, meaning Trump will be able to serve out his final days as President. McConnell had not yet signaled which way he will vote.

This is the first time in history that a president has been impeached twice in the same term.
