Democrats and RINOs vote to hold Steve Bannon in contempt
Democrats in the House along with RINOs like Liz Cheney are carrying out an investigation into January 6.
Inflation is skyrocketing and hundreds of patriots remain stranded in Afghanistan. But Democrats and RINOs have prioritized holding another investigation into January 6, this time voting to hold Steve Bannon in contempt.
“The House of Representatives voted Thursday to find former adviser to President Trump Steve Bannon in criminal contempt for defying a subpoena from the House select committee investigating the January 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol. He was called to appear before the committee last week but failed to appear,” CBS News reported.
Bannon’s attorney said he is protected by executive privilege asserted by President Donald Trump. There is no proof that Bannon entered the U.S. Capitol buildings or committed any actual crimes.
“Any individual who is found liable for contempt of Congress is then guilty of a crime that may result in a fine and between one and 12 months imprisonment. But this process is rarely invoked, and rarely leads to jail time,” CNN reported.
