Animal House Actor Tim Matheson Deletes Tweet Saying It’s ‘Wonderful’ to Now Have a First Lady Who Speaks English
Actor Tim Matheson tweeted out a now-deleted controversial statement on Friday when he claimed that it is great to now have a First Lady who can speak English in reference to Melania Trump leaving the White House.
“So wonderful to have a First Lady with class and heart. And, can speak English!” Matheson tweeted.
The actor quickly deleted the tweet after being called racist for it, but members of the conservative media had already taken screenshots of the tweet.
Curtis Houck, the managing editor of the conservative news outlet Newsbusters, tweeted out an image of the tweet condemning it as racist.
The Animal House actor would later tweet out a short apology stating he apologizes for, “a stupid joke, which was tasteless and without humor.”
This is not the first time President Trump or his family members have been ridiculed unfairly by left-wing Hollywood or media members and it will certainly not be the last. Only time will tell if the hateful attacks against the Trump family slow down.
