Twitter Permanently Bans Project Veritas
Twitter made the decision on Thursday to permanently ban James O’Keefe’s undercover journalist organization Project Veritas on the grounds that they had allegedly shared private information without consent.
“Twitter also confirmed that O’Keefe’s personal account had been locked temporarily for violating the same policy, and that O’Keefe would be required to remove the violative content before regaining permission to tweet,” reported CNN Business. “In an emailed statement to CNN Business, O’Keefe again said it was ‘false’ that the video contained private information and claimed Twitter told the group it could have its account reinstated if it deleted the tweet containing the video.”
O’Keefe posted a video on Project Veritas Action later in the day explaining why the post in question doesn’t break any guidelines and for that reason, he won’t be deleting the post.
Twitter has continued to censor Conservative voices throughout the year and suspending Project Veritas has been their latest major action taken.
