2021 Super Bowl Ratings Crash To Lowest level Since 1969

According to a report by Sports Media Watch, Super Bowl 55 was not only a disaster for the Kansas City Chiefs but for ratings as well as this was the lowest rated Super Bowl since 1969.

Along with the dismal ratings, the viewership was at its worst point since 2006. When including the streaming audience, it was the least watched Super Bowl since 2007.

Even John Ourand from Sports Business Journal conceded the ratings when he said, “It's hard to spin these Super Bowl ratings into a positive story. The numbers are down despite a highly-touted matchup of star QBs, snowstorms in the Northeast, etc. But…”

The 2020 Super Bowl matchup between the Chiefs and 49ers received over ten million viewers compared to this year’s super bowl.
