Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger says he wants to 'expand God's kingdom' in next chapter
The future Hall of Fame Steelers quarterback wants to focus on more important issues than football after he retires at the conclusion of this NFL season.
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger knows there is more important work to be done in life than throwing around a football.
After a season-ending loss, Roethlisberger thanked God and shared what he wants to do next, should he retire.
“But I’m proud to play with these guys. God has blessed me with [the] ability to throw a football and has blessed me to play in the greatest city, in Pittsburgh, with the greatest fans and the greatest football team and players. It’s just been truly a blessing and I’m so thankful to Him for the opportunity that He’s given me,” he said, according to the Blaze.
“I’m going to do everything I can to be the best husband and father I can be and try and expand God’s kingdom,” Roethlisberger said.
Conservative commentator Nick Adams praised the Steelers QB for making the decision.
“Ben Roethlisberger says he wants to expand God's kingdom in the next phase of his life,” Adams said.
“We need more people like Big Ben in America,” Adams added.
In a league known for political wokeness and China profiteering, it’s nice to see some players speaking out about their relationship with God.
