Hope Solo says teammate Megan Rapinoe would ‘almost bully’ players to kneel for anthem
Rapinoe not only allegedly bullied players into kneeling, but she also failed to lead the U.S. women’s team to a gold medal in the most recent Olympic games.
Former U.S. women’s soccer goalie Hope Solo said her teammate Megan Rapinoe would bully people into kneeling for the national anthem.
“I've seen Megan Rapinoe almost bully players into kneeling because she really wants to stand up for something in her particular way, but it's our right as Americans to do it in whatever way we're comfortable with,” Solo said on a recent podcast.
“Earlier this month, U.S. women’s soccer star Carli Lloyd stunned fans when she appeared to be the only American player standing before the team’s match against Australia at the Tokyo Olympics,” Fox News noted.
Solo won two Olympic gold medals while on the team that has experienced a downfall under Rapinoe.
