Buffalo Bills Remain In Locker Room During National Anthem Before AFC Championship Game

Prior to the AFC Championship game on Sunday, the Buffalo Bills made the decision to remain in the locker room during the performance of the national anthem while the Chiefs remained on the field during the playing of it.

The Bills have been one of the few teams who have stayed in the locker room throughout the season during the anthem in response to the Black Lives Matter movement in the summer.

National voices such as Bill O’Reilly condemned the action.

“Buffalo Bills remain in locker room during National Anthem. Can’t root for them even though I like the on field spirit of the team. Go KC!” tweeted O’Reilly.

The Bills are also the only team throughout the playoffs to have stayed in the locker room during the national anthem.

The Chiefs came out on top 38-24 in their matchup, sending them to their second Super Bowl in consecutive years.
