WATCH: Democrats Call On VP Pence & Cabinet To Invoke 25th Amendment
US House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) introduced a resolution on Monday calling for Vice President Mike Pence to invoke the 25th Amendment and remove President Trump from office.
On Monday, Congressman Hoyer requested unanimous consent to bring up Rep. Jamie Raskin’s resolution asking VP Pence to, “convene and mobilize the principal officers of the executive departments of the Cabinet to activate Section 4 of the 25th Amendment to declare President Donald J. Trump incapable of executing the duties of his office and to immediately exercise powers of acting president.”
Rep Alex Mooney of West Virginia objected, blocking Hoyer’s request.

Congresswoman Ilhan Omar (D-MN) tweeted on Monday with excitement that the Articles of Impeachment were, “formally introduced today!”
Over 230 current Members of Congress (House and Senate) have already called for the removal President Trump from office either via impeachment or the 25th Amendment.
