Twitter Suspends Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene for 12 Hours
Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) released a press statement on Sunday afternoon saying she was suspended on Twitter for 12 hours.
The full press release was shared on Twitter by RollCall reporter Chris Cioffi, the tweet is embedded below:
Congresswoman Greene stated that just days after the, “Silicon Valley Cartel launched a multi-front attack to chill free speech in America by deplatforming President Donald Trump and purging an unknown number of conservatives, Twitter has decided to suspend my personal account without explanation.”
NBC journalist Josh Lederman tweeted that the suspension would be for 12 hours.
Congresswoman Greene was informed that Twitter determined she, “violated the Twitter Rules.”
Leftist NPR reporter Stephen Fowler tweeted that Greene had violated Twitter’s policies on spreading “misinformation about the election.”
With Big Tech’s recent clamp down on freedom of speech on their platforms, only time will tell how much longer conservative Members of Congress like Marjorie Taylor Greene are able to stay active on these platforms.
