South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem Announces South Dakota Will NOT Accept Illegal Immigrants.

Governor Noem: “My message to illegal immigrants... call me when you're an American.”

Firebrand South Dakota Republican Governor Kristi Noem announced on Twitter that her state would not accept any illegal immigrants detained at the southern border that the Biden administration is seeking to resettle.

With the crisis at the southern border mounting, the Biden administration is scrambling to find housing for the influx of illegal immigrants and unaccompanied children.

The Department of Health and Human Services is reportedly spending $60 million per week on housing in response to a massive surge in border crossings since January.

Noem’s immigration announcement comes on the heels of similar policy announcements from three other Republican governors, Henry McMaster of South Carolina, Pete Ricketts of Nebraska, and Kim Reynolds of Iowa.

McMaster announced South Carolina would not accept unaccompanied minors from border facilities into foster homes and blamed the Biden administration for creating a “humanitarian crisis on our border.”

“Multiple media outlets have reported that TERRORISTS have been apprehended at the southern border.” Governor Noem also said.

Noem has recently faced backlash from conservatives when she opted to essentially veto a bill aimed at preventing biological males from competing in women’s sports. She was criticized by Tucker Carlson for the decision, with the FOX host saying, “You caved to the NCAA.”

Governor Noem is still considered a rising star within the Republican Party and frequently speculated as a potential 2024 contender.
