Rep Matt Gaetz Suggests He Might Offer Kyle Rittenhouse Congressional Internship
Florida’s GOP firebrand Congressman Matt Gaetz spoke with Newsmax host Grant Stinchfield on Wednesday night.
The popular Republican Congressman was talking with Stinchfield about the current Kyle Rittenhouse trial playing out in Kenosha Wisconsin.
Gaetz tweeted out with video footage, “Kyle Rittenhouse is not guilty and deserves a not guilty verdict. In fact, he’d make a great Congressional Intern.”
Kyle Rittenhouse is expected to be found not guilty of the majority (or all) charges waged against him relating to his actions in Kenosha Wisconsin last summer. Rittenhouse has maintained his innocence claiming he was acting in self-defense while shooting numerous people at the Kenosha riots. Video footage does show Rittenhouse being assaulted and charged at.
At the time of publication no verdict has been found by the jury, while most legal experts are predicting Rittenhouse will be acquitted.
If Rittenhouse is found innocent it appears he will have no issues finding employment or support from conservative circles and even Republican Members of Congress like Matt Gaetz. Many have also suggested Rittenhouse sue the left-wing media figures who have baselessly accused him of being a white supremacist and mass murderer.
