‘QAnon Shaman’ sentenced to 41 months in prison

The oddly-dressed man was painted as a dangerous insurrectionist from the January 6th rioter.

Jacob Chansley, better known as the “QAnon Shaman,” has been sentenced to more than 3 years in prison for his role in the civil unrest on January 6th.

Judge Royce Lamberth sentenced Jacob Chansley, the "QAnon shaman," to 41 months in prison.

He's been in jail for 317 days already, held in solitary.

No violent crime on January 6, mental health issues. No criminal record.

The Hill reported.

Capitol riot defendant Jacob Chansley, known as the “QAnon Shaman,” was sentenced on Wednesday to more than three years in federal prison.

The 41-month sentence, issued by U.S. District Judge Royce Lamberth in Washington, D.C., comes after Chansley pleaded guilty to felony obstruction of an official proceeding related to his conduct in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

The sentence, which will be reduced by the time Chansley has served in jail since his arrest, was 10 months less than what federal prosecutors requested. 

The DOJ acknowledges Jacob Chansley, the Q Shaman, did not violently attack anyone on January 6. Despite that, he has been held in solitary confinement for 10 months, and was just sentenced to **3 1/2** years in prison.

“Photographs taken inside the Capitol on Jan. 6 of a shirtless Chansley, adorned with a viking hat, red, white and blue face paint,” The Hill reported.
