President Trump Announces AG Barr to Leave Position Before Christmas

President Trump announced that Attorney General William Barr would be stepping down from his post before Christmas and that Deputy Attorney General Jeff Rosen would be taking over as Acting Attorney General.

NBC Politics tweeted out AG Barr’s resignation letter from their official account.

AG Barr went to the White House on Monday, where he reportedly submitted his letter of resignation.

President Trump tweeted his thanks and appreciation towards Barr for his service as well as the resignation letter image.

While tensions between AG Barr and President Trump have reportedly been on the outs as of late, President Trump remained cordial and thankful to Barr for his service via his tweet.
