POLL: Majority of Republicans Want Their Elected Officials To Stand Up To Biden

A recent Pew Research Poll found that nearly 6 in 10 (59%) of Republicans polled want their elected officials to stand up to Joe Biden, even if it will make addressing critical issues more difficult.

The majority of Republican voters in the United States of America want their elected officials in Congress to stand up to the Biden/Harris administration and their agenda once he takes office, even with the GOP currently in the minority.

According to a Pew Research Center poll released last Friday:

  • 59% pf GOP voters polled want their leaders to stand up to Joe Biden

  • 38% of GOP voters polled want their leaders to try to work with the other side, even if some of their party’s voters will be upset.

With Joe Biden being sworn in Wednesday, there should plenty of opportunities in the coming weeks and months for Republicans in office to make their position known to their constituents — will they work across the aisle? or will they form a right wing resistance?
