Liz Cheney Officially Ousted From House GOP Leadership

“I will do everything I can to ensure the former President never gets anywhere near the Oval Office,” Cheney told her friends in the press after the removal vote.

As expected, House Republicans this morning removed the never-Trump Republican from her position as GOP Conference Chair by voice vote.

After the vote, Cheney spoke to a gaggle of reporters to praise herself for her endless courage and rally anti-Trump forces behind her efforts to attack the former President.

Never-Trump Republican Rep. Adam Kinzinger (IL) predictably spoke in support of Cheney and attacked his fellow Republicans:

Cheney is expected to be replaced by Trump-endorsed Rep. Elise Stefanik (NY) as House Republican Conference Chair.
