Kroger ends certain benefits for unvaccinated employees
The grocery company is supporting a far-left agenda that seeks to punish people for making the personal or religious decision to not take the COVID-19 vaccine.
Thousands of Kroger workers continued to work throughout the pandemic, even though they could contract COVID. Those workers worked hard every day to make sure shelves were stocked, food and toiletries could be bought, and that senior citizens could still get their medicine throughout the pandemic.
Now the grocery chain is telling those who decided not to get vaccinated that they must pay more in insurance costs and they will lose some benefits.
“Supermarket chain Kroger announced Tuesday it will eliminate paid emergency leave for unvaccinated employees who contract COVID-19 in addition to requiring some of them to pay a monthly $50 health insurance surcharge starting in 2022, according to a company memo,” The Daily Caller reported.
“The country’s largest supermarket chain, which employees roughly 465,000 workers, issued an internal company memo announcing the changes, which will start on Jan. 1, a company spokesperson told the Daily Caller News Foundation.”
The COVID vaccines are free and have been available for almost every adult for months now. However, in a free country people can choose whether or not to get a vaccine. Some may have medical or religious concerns or have previously recovered from COVID.
