Kamala Harris hasn’t visited the border crisis, but flew to Chicago to promote racial ‘equity’
The crisis at the border is out of control, but VP Kamala Harris continues to refuse to visit the border.
VP Kamala Harris has been appointed by President Biden to oversee the immigration crisis. But instead of visiting the border, she decided to visit Chicago to talk about vaccines.
Harris and her husband were in Oakland for Easter -- they easily could have visited the border on their travels back to DC. Instead, Harris decided it was more important to visit Chicago to hang out with Mayor Lori Lightfoot, who has faced criticism for her job-killing COVID rules.
“Harris will arrive in the city on Tuesday, primarily focusing on COVID-19 vaccine equity,” NBC 5 Chicago reported.
“I'm excited to welcome @VP Kamala Harris to Chicago,” Mayor Lightfoot tweeted. “Our team prioritized equity in the rollout of our COVID vaccines. I'm looking forward to sharing details with her.”
Vaccines have been rolled out across the country and states, cities and other government entities are giving people their shots every day, so it’s not clear how exactly this is a crisis that needs VP Harris’ help.
Meanwhile, the immigration situation is out of control -- but Biden and Harris seem more concerned about promoting politically correct messaging than actually leading this country and implementing good immigration policies to secure the border.
Biden is losing control at the border.
For example, a border facility in Texas has “more than 4,100 migrants at the facility despite a pandemic capacity of 250,” CNN reported. (Yes, even CNN has had to admit Biden is failing).
Meanwhile, criminal sex offenders and gang members are taking over the border.
“Illegal immigrants suspected of crimes ranging from rape and murder to gang affiliation have been arrested in the Rio Grande Valley sector of Texas, according to Customs and Border Protection officials,” the Daily Caller reported.
