Hunter Biden Reportedly Committed a Felony, Will He Face Charges?
The Biden Administration is facing yet another headache, as his scandal-plagued son could face felony charges for lying on a gun background check.
For the past several years, the Biden political team has tried to hide political controversies. But now it’s coming back to bite them, as recent media reports have indicated that his son, Hunter Biden, allegedly broke federal gun laws.
As the Biden team and far-left Democrats push for background checks, Hunter decided he was above the law.
“POLITICO obtained copies of the Firearms Transaction Record and a receipt for the gun dated Oct. 12, 2018,” the liberal-leaning publication reported.
“Hunter responded ‘no’ to a question on the transaction record that asks, ‘Are you an unlawful user of, or addicted to, marijuana or any depressant, stimulant, narcotic drug, or any other controlled substance?’ Five years earlier, he had been discharged from the Navy Reserve after testing positive for cocaine, and he and family members have spoken about his history of drug use.”
Delaware law enforcement officials and Secret Service agents allegedly intervened to help Hunter cover-up for a “bizarre” situation, according to Politico, where Hunter hid a gun behind a trash can near a high school.
The report raises serious questions about Joe Biden’s ability to control his son’s political scandals, which threaten to derail and administration already in a free-fall over its ties to cartels that traffic in heroin and the growing crisis at the border.
The National Review weighed on the other Biden controversies:
Federal authorities are currently investigating Hunter Biden’s taxes, and his overseas business dealings drew scrutiny during the presidential campaign. U.S. Attorney David Weiss of Delaware, who is leading the tax probe, remained in his post in February while the Biden administration asked other U.S. attorneys appointed by President Trump to resign.
This crisis is just one more to add to the Biden team’s inept handling of important political affairs. It is also another scandal that opens them up to scrutiny and raises fresh questions about the ethics.
The White House has botched a number of key policies in just the first two and a half months. It has succeeded in delivering vaccines, largely thanks to the Trump Administration’s efforts.
Other than that, it faces a surge of illegal immigrants at the border, it recently apologized to China and its national security team remains largely unfilled.
Whether Hunter Biden will face any charges is still to be determined, but I wouldn’t expect any charges to made against the son of the President of the United States.
