HUGE: Larry Elder Launches Campaign for Governor of California
Larry Elder is a longtime popular right-leaning radio host based out of California.
Governor Gavin Newsom’s quest to defeat a recall effort has a new hurdle now, as a popular black conservative radio host has announced his intention to run for governor.
Larry Elder recently said that he will be running to defeat Gavin Newsom in September 2021 and become the next leader of California.
“I’m running for Governor because the decline of California isn’t the fault of its people. Our government is what’s ruining the Golden State,” Elder said on his campaign website.
He said schools “are closed to both students and their parents.”
“Our streets aren’t safe from rising violent crime or the disaster of rising homelessness. And the scandals of Sacramento aren’t going to stop on their own. It’s time to tell the truth,” Elder said. “We’ve got a state to save.”
He said conservative radio host and fellow Californian Dennis Prager encouraged him to run, according to The Daily Wire.
