Hillary Clinton Says Cuomo’s Accusers, “Deserve Answers”
Former First Lady Hillary Clinton released a statement Monday where she publicly stated her support for an independent investigation into the allegations made against New York Governor Andrew Cuomo (D)
“These stories are difficult to read, and the allegations brought forth raise serious questions that the women who have come forward and all New Yorkers deserve answers to,” Clinton said in her official statement.
“I’m glad to see that there will be a full, independent, and thorough investigation,” the former New York Senator concluded.
On Sunday, the disgraced Governor Andrew Cuomo issued a statement, saying he was “truly sorry” if “some of the things I have said have been misinterpreted as an unwanted flirtation.”
This statement comes in stark contrast to the prior statements where he claimed there was no wrongdoing.
Governor Cuomo has now been accused of inappropriate advances or sexual harassment by three different women:
Lindsey Boylan, former deputy secretary for economic development and special adviser
Charlotte Bennett, former health policy adviser
Anna Ruch, woman who attended same wedding reception as Cuomo
Conservatives and concerned Americans were understandably upset with the former Secretary of State’s hypocrisy with Cuomo’s accusers compared to the treatment she gave former President Bill Clinton’s accusers several decades ago.
Clinton was infamous for treating her husband’s accusers poorly in the 90’s.
