Gavin Newsom warns that GOP’s Larry Elder is only 2 points away from winning
The leftist governor has overseen a disastrous response to the COVID outbreak, while breaking his own rules.
The very liberal governor is warning supporters that libertarian radio host Larry Elder could defeat him in the September recall.
Leftist Governor Gavin Newsom, who has let homelessness run rampant in his state and oversaw a disastrous COVID response, is telling supporters that libertarian radio host Larry Elder could defeat him in the September election.
“Now hear this: Larry Elder is just 2 points from being our next governor. Sorry to scare you, but it's true,” a fundraising email from Newsom’s campaign team said.
Elder holds some liberal social views, but holds traditionally conservative economic views.
One Republican activist told Politico why she supports Elder.
“We could just sense a real excitement behind him. He has excellent name ID in the state, especially for people who are politically savvy and listened to his radio over the years,” Teresa Hernandez said.
