Biden Vows To Bring In Over 100,000 Refugees By The End Of 2022

During President Trump’s last year in office, he allowed a maximum of 15,000 refugees into the United States.

“Over the coming months and years, we will rebuild and expand the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program and other humanitarian programs so they reflect our values as a nation and are commensurate with global need, consistent with our domestic laws and international obligations, as well as our fundamental responsibility for the safety and security of the American people,” said Secretary of State Anthony Blinken.

According to Biden, the process will require an “excessive vetting of applicants” in order to reach that goal.
