Biden administration weighing shutting down Michigan pipeline
Americans are getting slammed by higher gas and heating costs. The Democratic Party wants to continue its war against American energy.
President Joe Biden may soon shut down a key propane pipeline at Michigan, bowing down to the wishes of radical left-wing activists, at a time when heating costs and gas prices continue to soar.
“Word that the Biden administration was quietly studying the potential market impact of killing the Line 5 pipeline, first reported by POLITICO, set off a firestorm of criticism from Republicans saying the move would worsen the spike that has already driven propane prices up 50 percent from a year ago just as Michigan residents — the nation's biggest consumers of the fuel — stock up for cold weather,” Politico reported.
Far-left Governor Gretchen Whitmer is urging the shut-down, teaming up with “Indigenous” activists and environmentalist radicals.
"Revoking the pipeline’s permits would please environmentalists and Michigan Gov. Whitmer,” Politico previously reported. “Citing environmental concerns, the Democrat campaigned on a promise to shut down the pipeline that delivers crude oil, light synthetic crude and natural gas liquids from Alberta to Ontario through Wisconsin, the Great Lakes and Michigan.”
Department of Energy Secretary and former Michigan Governor Jennifer Granholm, recently laughed when asked about concerns over surging gas prices.
“Biden's energy strategy has been to shut down pipelines and appoint incompetent hacks like Jennifer Granholm to his cabinet,” Senator Tom Cotton said.
“He is directly responsible for the high cost of fuel.”
