Thousands turn out to honor Chicago police officer killed in line of duty
Thousands of people showed up to honor fallen Chicago police officer Ella French.
Patriotic Americans and supporters of our men and women in blue turned out to honor Chicago Police Department cop Ella French, who was tragically killed in the line of duty recently.
“Thousands of mourners attended or watched the funeral service on Thursday for fallen Chicago police officer Ella French, who was shot and killed during a traffic stop earlier this month,” Fox News reported.
“Loved ones, colleagues and public officials gathered for the 10 a.m. service at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, which was also livestreamed on the Chicago Police Department’s social media platforms,” the news site said.
Photos of mourners waiting in line, probably hours to pay their respects, circulated on social media this week.
She was shot dead by criminal thugs. Her police partner continues to recover from also being shot.
“Two Chicago brothers have been charged in the shooting, the Chicago Police Department announced in a Monday press release. Emonte Morgan, 21, is charged with first-degree murder, as well as attempted murder and other charges,” CBS News reported. “Eric Morgan, 22, faces charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, unlawful use of a weapon by a felon and obstruction of justice.”
