Prosecutors charge Connecticut man with attacking NYPD with Molotov cocktail, bleach

A man has been charged with allegedly attacking a brave New York City cop.

“Lionel Virgile, of Bridgeport, Connecticut, is facing federal charges of possession of a destructive device after he threw a Molotov cocktail at an officer, the NYPD said Sunday,” according to NY1.com

He also allegedly threw bleach at a police officer during a traffic stop, according to CBS New York.

“[He] appears to be an immigrant from Haiti based on my early investigation,” journalist Andy Ngo said, though that was not immediately clear.

A Molotov cocktail is often a glass bottle filled with gasoline and lit on fire. It has been used by far-left violent activists.

The attack is one more disturbing incident of activists targeting brave law enforcement officers.
