Larry David “Screamed” at Alan Dershowitz at grocery store over Trump ties
The comedy writer apparently had a meltdown when he saw former Trump impeachment defense attorney Alan Dershowitz.
Larry David did not handle seeing the former Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz recently on Martha’s Vineyard very well.
The incident occurred at a local small grocery store where the pair both shopped while on the ritzy New England island.
Page Six reported that the dialogue went something like this:
Dershowitz: “We can still talk, Larry.”
David: “No. No. We really can’t. I saw you. I saw you with your arm around [former Trump Secretary of State Mike] Pompeo! It’s disgusting!”
Dersh: “He’s my former student [at Harvard Law]. I greet all of my former students that way. I can’t greet my former students?”
David: “It’s disgusting. Your whole enclave — it’s disgusting. You’re disgusting!”
Added the stunned source, “Larry walks away. Alan takes off his T-shirt to reveal another T-shirt [underneath it] that says, ‘It’s The Constitution Stupid!’”
The outburst is further signs that liberal Hollywood cannot handle when someone supports Trump. Dershowitz is a long-time member of the left, but earned scorn from former friends for supporting President Trump.
Dershowitz alleged that the two were previously friends and that after the Trump impeachment defense their friendship deteriorated. Dershowitz did note that he voted for Biden in 2020. Apparently the outburst took place due to Dershowitz being photographed being chummy with his former student Secretary of State Mike Pompeo.
