Chuck Norris: Sad That Twice as Many People Condemn Plastic Straws Than Abortion
In an op-ed written for World Net Daily, actor and martial artist Chuck Norris blasted the society we live in today and found it sad that people value bamboo straws more than human life.
“It is staggering to think that, since 1973, over 62 million Americans have lost their lives in the womb due to being aborted or terminated by their parent,” wrote Norris. “As long as Americans are relearning how to respect and get along with one another and even agree to disagree agreeably, maybe it's high time we reevaluated the worth we give to the voiceless in wombs, too. Whether in the U.S. Capital or in cities across every state of our union, we shouldn't justify violence to humans outside the womb or inside the womb. Instead, we should esteem all human life from conception to the grave.”
“Am I missing something? Do you value bamboo straws more than human life? In the womb?” continued Norris. “Some might retort that the Angus Reid poll surveyed Canadians' views, not Americans. However, do we really expect U.S. poll percentages on the issue to be any different than our northern neighbors, especially since America legalized abortions 15 years earlier than Canada's legalization, in 1988?”
“The enduring value of humans is echoed in the Bible in Psalm 139: ‘For You, God, created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well.’” continued Norris.
