WATCH: Ana Navarro Says Trump ‘Literally, Literally’ Sent People to ‘Kill Him (Pence)’
The View’s Ana Navarro was featured on a CNN Newsroom panel Saturday with Fredricka Whitfield to talk about President Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s meeting at Mar-a-Lago as well as the future of the Republican Party.
Ana Navarro joined Fredricka Whitfield on Saturday night to complain about President Trump and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s meeting at Mar-a-Lago and speculate on the future of the Republican Party.
During the panel, Navarro blasted the House Minority Leader for looking “weak, feckless, and ineffective.”
At the end of Navarro’s long winded rant, she erroneously claimed that President Trump sent people “literally” after former Vice President Mike Pence — a completely unsubstantiated claim.
“Donald Trump has shown consistently that he has no loyalty towards anybody. Mike Pence had a four-year, you know, loyalty test with Donald Trump. He could not have been more loyal. Loyal to his own detriment. And yet, the one time Mike Pence did not — was not willing to cross the constitutional bridge, Donald Trump sent people after him. Not figuratively. Literally. Literally. After him. To kill him.”
The video footage of Navarro’s vitriolic rant is embedded below:
It’s unclear yet if Navarro or CNN will clarify the statement/accusations made against President Trump. There is no supporting evidence to claim that President Trump “literally” sent people to “kill” Vice President Mike Pence. In fact, President Trump consistently called for “peaceful” protests leading up to and on January 6th.
