CA Teacher’s Union Leader Who Supports School Closures Caught Dropping Off Kid At In-Person Private School

Berkley Federation of Teachers Union President Matt Meyer is being blasted for his apparent hypocrisy after being exposed dropping his daughter off for in-person learning at a private pre-school.

A group that operates under the name “GuerillaMomz” exposed the teacher union president, Matt Meyer, after he was caught dropping off his two-year-old daughter for in-person instruction at a private California pre-school. Meyer has led the charge in support of school closures claiming it was “unsafe” for your child to be in school.

The Berkeley Unified School District reached an agreement with the Berkeley Federation of Teachers earlier this month to reopen public schools in March and April, assuming staff members receive COVID-19 vaccinations by that deadline.

A letter which is signed by Berkeley families, public health and medical professionals urged the district to reopen schools once it is safe.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen lockdown hypocrisy in California, currently Governor Gavin Newsom is under fire for visiting a restaurant with George Lopez that is unable to host in-door dining because of positive COVID test rates in the region.
