Prince George's County schools go back to virtual learning due to COVID

Prince George's County Public Schools recently announced they will move to virtual learning due to COVID-19.

Another school district has said it will go online due to fears of COVID.

“Prince George's County Public Schools will move to virtual learning through Jan. 18. PGCPS will close buildings Monday, Dec. 20 and move to virtual learning for three days ahead of their winter break which will start on Thursday, Dec. 23,” WJLA.com reported.

The school district apparently is making this decision as the wind blows.

“In response to our questions, a spokesperson for the school system says there is no set threshold or a number of cases for school closure,” WJLA.com reported. “It is a decision made on a case-by-case basis by the system CEO and county health department.”

Many private schools have remained open to in-person learning, even in the 2020-2021 school year. As public school leaders continue to disregard students, many families will continue to look elsewhere.
